The Lord does not want us to live under the Bad Old Blues. For starters get checked out with your Doctor! This is wise because the blues and depression can have a biological cause.
With Jesus there is no room for the Deep Blues
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. The Lord lifted me out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and put a new song in my mouth. Psalm 40 v 2
So Jesus went to her, took her hand and lifted her up. Mark 1 v 31
With Jesus there is no room for the Guilty Blues
Blessed (and happy) is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Psalm 32 v 1
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.” Mark 9 v 2
With Jesus there is no room for the Angry Blues
Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. Gen 4 v 5
Jesus said, I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be disapproved. Matt 5 v 22
With Jesus there is no room for the Lonesome Blues
When my spirit grows faints within me, it is you Lord who knows my way. I looked and no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life. I cry to you, O Lord; I say, You are my refuge. Psalm 143 verses 3 – 5
Jesus said, I will not leave you comfortless as orphans; I will come to you. John 14 verse 18
With Jesus there is no room for the Anxious Blues
From the end of the earth I will cry to you Lord. When my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61 verse 1-3
Jesus said, If God clothes the grass of the field will He not clothe you, O you of little faith! Matthew 6

With Jesus there is no room for the Selfish Blues
The “God of all Comfort” comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the same comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1

With Jesus there is no room for the Hopeless Blues
Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. Psalm 130 verses 1 & 2.
Jesus said, Take heart, (be of good cheer) I have overcome the world. John 16 v 33
With Jesus there is no room for the Spiritual Blues
The fruit of God’s Spirit is love and joy and peace. Galatians 5 Jesus said, How much more will your Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those that ask Him. Luke 11 v 13
At the Cross, Jesus carried our sorrows as well as our sins. Jesus feels our “blues” and replaces them with His joy and love!
Facing the Cross Jesus said, My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Mark 14
He was despised and rejected. Surely He has borne our grief and carried our sorrows. He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53
Jesus said, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love." John 15
Jesus said, I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. John 15 v 11
